A Bookworm at Heart

There is nothing better than finding a story to get wrapped up in keeping you up late at night. The last few years I haven't read voraciously as I had in the past. I read all types of stories though my mainstays are fantasy, mystery, and business books. I'll read romance, if I like the author's writing style.

I'm a huge fan of using Goodreads.com to keep track of my reading history. See I'm a library stack wanderer, so I sometimes can't recall if I've read the book or if I only stared at the book but never cracked the cover. Plus, there are a few years where I read well over a hundred books in a year. A sad side effect of that reading was that the stories blurred.

Ah, I remember when I was young I could recall specific details for all the stories I read. Long gone are those days. Now when I go to recommend a book I've read to get the exact title and author, I pull up my Goodreads reviews.

I find books and read books in many places:

  • Libby website, which is my public library's Overdrive system for ebooks;
  • Kindle app, for other type of ebooks;
  • library, for good old fashion print books;
  • random books given to me, I still know people who read print books and they share their bounty with me 😉

What about you? What types of books do you read? Do you keep a list of what you have read and what you want to read?

And a bonus question, what's your favorite book to recommend? Go on, tell me.

Virtual hugs,

Melissa Borg
